Opening Night at Nationals Park

The Sousa Family bundled up and headed out to see the first Nationals game of the baseball season at new Nationals Park. Gabriela was a champion and enjoyed seeing all of the sights!

Mommy and Gabriela also met Daddy's Boss, Mayor of Washington, DC, Adrian M. Fenty:
The ballpark is beautiful and we toured the entire thing from top to bottom.
President Bush threw out the first pitch:
Then it was time to play ball:
Gabriela was having fun:
But then she fell asleep:
That was ok, because the Nationals won in the bottom of the 9th Inning because of Ryan Zimmerman's walk-off Home Run!
Nats win 3-2!

Happy Easter!

It was time for a nap after a busy morning of Mass, the Botanical Gardens, and brunch. And then we were off to Nanny and Pop-Pop Kilner's for Easter dinner.

Getting Ready...

I'm getting ready to turn 8 months old! I'm learning new tricks and making new sounds every day. I love eating solid foods. My favorite vegetable is squash and my favorite fruit is banana, so far there's nothing that I don't like! But I usually need a bath after I eat...

I've always loved taking a bath, but now that I can sit up in my baby bath tub it's even more fun. My favorite bath toys are my rubber duckies.

I'm getting ready to crawl and I can't wait to start Irish dancing like my aunts Katie, Madie and Brigid. I practice sitting up straight and tall and crossing my ankles like an Irish dancer too! Here i'm sporting my Irish Princess onesie from Shannon and Diana.

My 2nd cousin Abigail gave me all of these fun toys. Thank you for sharing them with me!

First trip to Florida!

We just got home from our trip to Florida. We stayed in Hollywood with Nanny and Pop-Pop Aronne and visited Aunt Terry and Uncle Al Aronne as well.
On our first day we took a trip to the pool where Gabriela enjoyed swimming with Mommy very much. The next day was windy, but we got to see the beach and walk on the boardwalk. The following day we visited the Vizcaya mansion on Biscayne Bay and Gabriela took a nice nap in her new stroller while we were there.

Gabriela got to meet her Uncle John Kilner for the first time and they were instant buddies! We all enjoyed a nice lunch with Uncle John and got to check out his place on the inland waterway.

Our little traveler did wonderfully on the plane and made many new admirers along the way.
(Note: Gabriela got her very first tooth while we were in Florida too!)
More pictures from our trip are here.
